TERRA~MADRE GARDENS

EARTH TENDING ~ EDUCATING ~ COMMUNITY BUILDING

We, Jessica Sanchez and David Solomon both have been on a quest to create a life for ourselves and the greater community that reflects soveirgnty on multiple levels.

Having grown up in immigrant households, we were able to gain a perspective on the various aspects in society that were creating trauma and unhealthy communities.

We both having worked the classic 8-5 schedule felt trapped in what was a never ending cycle of eat, work, and sleep. Never allowing for a deeper connection to what life was meant for.

Fast forward a couple years, and our lives crossed. We shared a passion to reinvent our lives and and find a way to be of service to the Mother Earth and our community.

We began our journey together at La Milpa Organic Farm. A small organic farm run by Barry Logan whom allowed us to apprentice and fully disconnect from an old way of living and seeing the world.

20 years later we find ourselves on the same land, having home schooled our children, and running our own project as Terra Madre Gardens.

These years have allowed us to define and refine our mission.

Our mission here is to establish a Sanctuary that gives the community access to resources that allows for direct experience with nature to heal, learn, and connect.

We feel that by solving the worlds problems under one roof, and serve as a living example for inspiration and guidance for other to replicate according to their own community needs.
